Privacy Policy
Updated on November 5, 2026.
What you type stays on your iPhone. Vogal has no server that receives your text, shows no ads and does not track you.
Who looks after your data
Vogal Keyboard is a product of JurisOrdem Tecnologia LTDA, a Brazilian company (CNPJ 69.848.942/0001-20), which is responsible for the processing described in this policy.
What you type
Correction, suggestions, the Portuguese grammar review and translation all work inside your iPhone. What you type is not sent to us or to third parties.
To correct and suggest better, the keyboard stores on your iPhone the words you use and the corrections you made. You can see and delete all of it in the app, under Words and corrections. With private mode on, the keyboard learns nothing from what you type.
Full Access
iPhone asks for Full Access so the keyboard can play sounds, vibrate, keep the history of what you copy and talk to the Vogal app. Turning on Full Access does not make Vogal send what you type anywhere.
Clipboard
If you turn on the clipboard history, what you copy stays on your iPhone for as long as you choose in the app. Pinned items stay until you delete them.
Backup to your iCloud
If you leave backup on, your learned words, the themes you created and the clipboard history go to your own iCloud, in the private area of your Apple Account. Only your Apple Account can access that backup; we cannot. You can turn it off and delete it in the app.
Translation
Translation uses Apple's translator, which runs on your iPhone with the languages you downloaded.
Themes shared by link
When you share a theme, its colors and choices travel inside the link itself, in the part that browsers do not send to the server. No theme is stored with us.
Community Themes
If you publish a theme to the community, it becomes public in Vogal's public iCloud database: the theme's name and choices, your @, the date and a short code so other people can find it. Viewing and downloading community themes requires no account and sends nothing of yours. Each download adds one to the theme's count, without saying who downloaded it. A report carries only the theme's code and the reason. When you remove a theme from the community it is deleted from there; themes that break the Terms of Use are hidden by us. The @s you block stay only on your iPhone.
Profile and username
Your profile photo, first name and last name stay on your iPhone. If you reserve a username (your @), it is stored in Vogal's public iCloud database with the reservation date, so nobody else can take the same @. Only the @ goes there, linked to your Apple Account in a way that not even we can see which one it is. When you change your @, the old one is deleted and becomes available. In the app, under Username, you can delete your @: it becomes available to someone else and the themes you published leave the community.
Subscription
The Vogal Premium subscription is sold and charged by Apple, on your Apple Account. We do not receive your payment details. The app only checks with Apple, on your iPhone, whether the subscription is active.
Contact page
If you send a report or an idea through the contact page, we keep the message, your e-mail (if you provide it), your iPhone model, iOS version and any images you attach, only to reply and fix the app. To prevent abuse we also keep a scrambled version of your internet address, which does not reveal the address. The page uses Cloudflare's anti-bot check. Ask through the same page and we will delete what you sent.
Your rights
Under Brazil's LGPD and, where it applies, the GDPR, you can ask for access to, correction of and deletion of your data. What stays on your iPhone and in your iCloud you can delete yourself in the app. For anything else, write through the contact page.
Children
Vogal does not collect data from anyone, of any age, for advertising or profiling.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top of the page changes with it.
